ORDINANCE NO. / 5-4-
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING EASEMENT RIGHTS OVER A PORTION OF A FORMER ALLEY LOCATED
BETWEEN LOTS 7 AND 8 OF THE EAST ELM ADDITION HAVING BEEN VACATED BY
ORDINANCE 14559.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that the
owners of land which was formerly known as Cedar Way in the City, have
petitioned the City Council to vacate the easement rights within a portion of the
former right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or the
citizens of the City to discontinue the easement rights for public use as described
in Section 1 of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it necessary,
reasonable and proper to discontinue easement rights on that portion of property located
between lots 7 and 8 of the East Elm Addition and forever vacate the easement rights in said
City:
See Exhibit A
Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the underlying property is
hereby confirmed, as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, and the Mayor and the
Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments required to confirm
the reversionary rights of the owners of property underlying the easement vacated, as described
in Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its
passage.

All of a 20 foot alley as shown in Plat Book 3, page 19, known as East Elm Addition in the
City of Jefferson, as recorded in the Cole County Recorder's Office, Jefferson City, Cole
County, Missouri and more particularly described as follows:
All of a 20 foot alley as shown on the aforementioned Plot Book 3, page 19, that lies
between Lot 7 and Lot 8.
