Dunklin Dear Mr. Barker: I am responding to your letter regarding the City's notice process for the lien on the above-referenced property. I have received the documentation from our Planning and Protective Services Department on this particular property which explain the City's process for notifying and, in the absence of action taken by property owners,taxpayer funds which were expended to clean up the property.Staff informed me that during the process,they spoke on the telephone with a Mr. Lee Handley in Kansas City,and later someone else located in Massachusetts. prior to the cleanup of the property,and that they obtained the correct address from him to send the notices, and, subsequently, the lien were mailed. Two notices were mailed: May 10 and May 20.The actual cleanup work was performed on May 31 when the property was not cleaned up by the property owner. I did not see an email address on your correspondence, but if you would like to send me an email address, I would be happy to forward those records to you for your files. McCarty Street Jefferson City, 65101 Re: Special Tax Lien for Cutting of Tall Vegetation IBC Sales Corporation for Property at 410 W. Dunkin Street Jefferson City, MO Dear Ms. Powell: Pursuant to your letter of June 27th,this letter and the enclosed check in the amount of$275 pertains to work that was done by the City of Jefferson City to cut tall vegetation at the above referenced location. Although our records do not show the receipt of a notice for this violation, I trust a formal notice was properly sent by the Planning and Services Department. With proper notice the appropriate action would have ensued in a prompt manner. Please process the enclosed check and see that a copy of the release is sent to my attention. I represent the estate of Hostess Brands and a copy of the release will be sent to bankruptcy counsel in order to document the history and removal of this lien.
