LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT APRIL 22ND, 195^+ The Trustees of the District met in the Board Room of the Federal Land Bank, 506 Olive Street at 2:00 P.M. on April 22nd, 195^. Trustees pre- sent: William C. E. Becker, John M. Bogdanor, Joseph L. Doran, William W. Martin, J. E. Williams, Jr. and G eorge C. Willson. Present by request of the Boaxd: Mr. Russell, Mr. Shifrin, Dr. Victor D. Brannon, Mr. Blake, Mr. Auchly and Mr. John P. McCammon. At the request of the Board, .Dr. Brannon discussed the tax problem and stated that the approximate assessed valuations of property within the District are in the City $1,500,000,000.00 and in the County $^50,000,000.00. Mr. Auchly and Mr. Blake discussed at length and answered questions of various members of the Board as to the powers of the District under Sec. 3.020 of the Plan. Mr. Martin moved that a committee be appointed to interview quali- fied individuals with regard to possible employraent as Executive Director. The motion was -seconded by Mr. Bogdanor and unanimously carried. The Chair- man appointed Mr. Becker as chairman of the comittee and Mr. Williams and Mr. Martin as the other merabers. It was raoved by Mr. Doran, seconded by Mr. Williams, that Mr. Bogdanor and Mr. Martin be appointed as a committee of two to canvass finan-. cial institutions for the purpose of determining whether or not it is possible for the District to raise the sum of $50,000.00 by a gift, or by loan, or on tajc anticipation warrants to defray the expenses of the District in the period between the first day of July and such time as the receipt of tax revenues will enable the District to meet its own expenses. The motion was unaniraously carried. There being no further business, the meeting was duly adjourned. I
