A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WRITE-OFF OF
UNCOLLECTIBLE UTILITY BAD DEBT

.WHEREAS: The Utility Department needs authorization to write-off uncollectible bad debt,
WHEREAS: Repeated' efforts have been attempted by the Utility Department to contact
account holders of the delinquent accounts,
WHEREAS: No efforts have been made to make payments on outstanding delinquent
accounts,
WHEREAS: and it has been determined by the Utility Department that accounts can not be
set up to certify to Johnson County, Iowa for collection against property as
allowed by law;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT'RESOLVED BY THE CITY CODUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA:
to authorize Treasurer to write-off in the amount of 7,300.07 of uncollectible
bad debt.

motion for approval and seconded by Council person Chris Ball

Four Council members voted and approved Resolution 2011 -'07, Mayor Phillips affirms, by his
signature the approval of Resolution 2011-07 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WRITE-OFF
OF UNCOLLECTIBLE UTILITY BAD DEBT.
