JOURNAL OF THE 19TH MEETING OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEVffiR DISTRICT
JUNE 1st, 195*+
The Trustees of the District met in the Boaxd Room at 506 Olive
Street at 2:00 P.M. on June 1st, 195^. Trustees present: George C.
Willson, Chairman, John M. Bogdanor, Vice Chairman, Jos. L. Doran, W. W.
Martin, Wm. C. E. Becker; Trustee absen-t: J. E. Williams, Jr. Staff
^raerabers present: John P. McCammon, General Counsel, Dr. Victor Brannon,
Consultant, H. F. Thomson, Executive Director, L. McKenna, Secretary-
Treasurer. Others present by invitation: Robt. E. Blake, John Casey,
J. Eugene Auchly and Dr. Domke..
Mr. Willson presided.
Mr. Willson asked Mr. Bogdanor to outline his observation on
connection fees. There was an extended discussion regarding St. Louis
and St. Louis County charges for connections for storrawater flow by
Messrs. Blake, Casey and Auchly. Mr. Willson excused the guests at *+:*i-5
P.M.
Mr. Thorason reported that the Affton Sewer District had requested advice
on permitting "the new Affton School to discharge through the Affton Sewer
System. Dr. Domke stated the School Board had wanted to go "into the
Affton Sewer District, but the Sewer District had hesitated about such an
arrangement.
Mr. Bogdanor moved and the motion was seconded that Mr. Thomson
write a letter to the Affton Se^wer District advising that the Board will
not object to the new Affton School connecting into the Se'wer District.
Poll of the Boaxd showed - Doran, aye; Martin, aye; Becker, aye; Willson,
aye; Bogdanor, aye. One Trustee absent - The motion vras unanimously
passed.
Mr. Willson read a letter prepared by Mr. McCamraon, dated June
1st, 195*+; proposing terms of his employment as Counselor after July 1st,
195*+.
Mr. Martin moved and Mr. Doran seconded the motion that the .
Board approve the contract on the basis of'Mr. McCammon's letter. Poll
of the Board showed - Doran, aye; Martin, aye; Becker, aye; Willson, aye;
Bogdanor, aye. The motion was unaniraously passed.
Mr. Thorason reported that the four engineering corapanies had
signed the agreement presented at the last Board raeeting covering delinea-
tion of the boundaries of the Coldwater, Maline and Gravois watersheds and
preparation of corresponding maps.
