RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION
FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, by Resolution 97-34, the Borough of Carteret, (the "BOROUGH")
appointed the fim of McGowan & Coughlin, P.C. to perform certain legal
services in connection with an arbitration involving the Borough and the
Carteret Policemen's Benevolent Association ("Carteret PBA"), in an amount
not to exceed $5000.00; and
WHEREAS, the arbitration has required further services than anticipated;
NOW, THEREORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Resolution ~97-34 is
hereby emended to reflect an amount not to exceed $10,000.00;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute an amendment to the existing Professional Services
Agreement;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of this action shall be published
in the Home News and Tribune on November 11, 1997.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICE LEGAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH AN

THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set
forth in Resolution.
