A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY REVERSING
THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING
A ZONE VARIANCE SUBJECT TO CERTAIN
CONDITIONS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds and determines
that Application No. 66 -182, filed by Ernest R. Starr, for a
variance to expand an existing non - conforming auto repair
shop in a C -2 Zone, located at 9219 Las Tunas Drive, Temple
City (described further as Lot 375, Tract 6561) was hereto-
fore denied by the Planning Commission of this City.
SECTION 2. That said variance decision of the Plan-
ning Commission was heretofore appealed to the City Council
pursuant to City Code, and public hearing held thereon.
SECTION 3. Said variance to permit expansion of an
auto repair shop in the C -2 Zone is hereby granted, subject
to the following conditions (and Resolution No. 66 -197PC of
the Planning Commission reversed):
1) No body repair or spray painting will be
allowed;
2) The front of the shop on Las Tunas shall
remain a showroom;
3) There shall be no enlargement of the front
door for a driveway entrance;
4) There shall be no chemical detergents used
for the cleaning of carburetors which emit
odorous and smokey fumes;
5) The fence and /or wall shall be removed to
permit more parking; and
6) In the event any of the foregoing conditions
are not fulfilled, or are violated, said
variance will immediately become null and
void.
SECTION 4. The reason for such variance is that the
requirements of Section 1802 of the Temple City Zoning
Ordinance have been met.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
