The Council of Hal Harbour met at the Administration Building,
Monday, January 12, 1953, at 8:00 o'clock F. M.
There were present:. Messrs: Beatty, Brown,, Simons.,
Stokely and Dr. Leonard.
Also present were W. H. Webb, Village Manager;; Mary Wetterer,
Village Clerk; and Fred Baisden, Village Attorney.
The Minutes of theprevious meetings E November -25;,and
December 15, 1952, were read and approved.
Mt, --Stokely said that,Mr. Hobert G. Graham, President cif
Miami Beach Heights, Inc. had been invited to the meeting to. discyss.the.
purchase of a site for the Village Hall.

.Mr. Brown pointed out the site that was shown oh the tentaative.
sales plat. Also discussed were the sites directly north of the BSI,
Harbor Islands Bridge, the Haulover Bridge area, and the triangle at
96th Street and Collins Avenue. Mr. Graham said he would consider the
area north of the Bay Harbor Bridge and the south -West corner of.

After discussion it was moved by Mr. Simons, seconded by Mr. Brown
and unanimously voted that Mr. Webb figure the required number of
square feet that would be needed at the town hall site for offices,
fire station,. police department,' and truck and equipment housing and
inform the councilmen as soon as possible so that.they can proceed
with the plans for procuring a site.
Mr. Webb reported to the Council that Miami *Beach Heights
had started -the improvements•o the north end of the.property and
that they were complying with Ihe requests of the council.mede when
the resubdivision was approved, and a final report would be made when
the project was completed.
Mr. Webb said the City of Miami Beach had sent up an
extension agreement to the Sewage Disposal Agreement for the Council
to approve but that the original agreement had been mislaid in the,
Miami Beach Heights file. He said thatthe city was sending up a
copy of the original agreement. It was moved by Mr. Beatty, seconded
by Dr. Leonard and unanim®ttsly passed that Mr. Stokely be.authorized
to sign the agreement after studying the original contract from the
City of Miami Beach.
Mrs. Webb said that after the lasts elebtion it was
mentioned that before the legislature met again it might.be advise -
able to amend the charter provision which states that a councilman
need not be a resident of the village. After discussien,it was
the decision of the council to let the charter stand:ea it now reads .
There being no further business before the meeting on motion
duly made, seconded and carried the meeting adjourned.

The council of Bal Hdrbour Village was called to'a meeting
to)pe held Monday, February 23, 1953, at 8:00 6t6lock P. M.
There were present: Mr. Simons and Dr. Leonard
Absent: Messrs. Brown, Beatty, and Stokely.
Also present were Mr. W. H. Webb, Village Manager; Mary '
Wetterer, Village Clerk; and Fred Baisden, Village Attorney.
The meeting was adjourned until the following Monday for
lack of a quorum.
