Wayne Neddermeyer - Mayor in Chair All members present together with Village Assessor Willis I Kohnen and County lessor Wayne Johnson. Wayne Johnson, County Assessor, gave a detrAled explanation of the land values and tp,x situation. Moved by Robert Franklin that we Close the Board of Review where applicants be heard and that we recess the Board of Review meeting until June 6 at 7:30 P;M. Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried. Meeting recessed at 11:05 P.M. Clerk Mayor The monthly meeting of May 2, 1972 reconvened at 11:10 P.M. William Torodor appeared tithAfireworks for Colonial Theater. Moved by Donald Des Lauriers to grant the Colonial Theater a fireworks nerm-it for Ma§ 29th subject to shooting by authoriged personnel. Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried. William Mills is asked to come to June meeting with regard to .seal coating. Moved by Robert Franklin to resolve that; WHERAS, Hennepin County is submitting an application for a Federal Grant under the Discretionary Grant program, Title 1, Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 for upgrading the present Police and S'eriff radio communication system to include mobile teleprinter operation; and WHEREAS, the various law enforcement jurisdictions in Hennepin County will be partiuinating in the use of the proposed system; BE IT TESOLVED that the Village of Medina will participate in the system in accordance with the provisions con- tained in the Federal Grant Program and will participate in the cost sharing of the system in accordance with the estimated cost as ir_dicated in the attached information sheet; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that should Federal funds be reaidced or eliminated it is unterstood that local yearly costs to each user will be increased in the same proportion as the percentage of reduction of Federal Funds.
