A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON,
CALIFORNIA, EXPANDING PREFERENTIAL PERMIT PARKING ZONE "E"
TO INCLUDE 218TH PLACE EAST OF MAIN STREET AND REGULATING
PARKING WITHIN THE ZONE
WHEREAS, the residents of 2181 Place submitted a petition requesting preferential permit
parking on the 100 block of this street east of Main Street; and
WHEREAS, the conditions in this area satisfy the City's criteria for establishing a permit
parking zone; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Commission has recommended approval of the request for a
permit parking zone; and
WHEREAS, Permit Parking Zone "E" is already in place on 218th Street east of Main Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it determined by the City Council of the City of Carson, California,
that:
Section 1. Preferential Parking Zone "E" shall be expanded to include the 100 black of
218`h Place east of Main Street.
Section 2. When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall park any motor
vehicle adjacent to any curb on 218`h Place in Preferential Parking Zone "E" between the hours of
7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays unless such vehicle has a Zone "E"
Preferential Parking Permit prominently displayed in accordance with Section 32505 of the Carson
Municipal Code.
Section 3. The fees for issuance of permits for use in Preferential Parking Zone "E" will be
waived by the City Council.
Section 4. The Director of Public Works is directed to cause signs to be posted giving
adequate notice of this regulation.
