A RESOLUTION: PRESENTED October 23~ 1985 85-192 ADOPTED October 23. 1985 INITIATING AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 2-7-1-(f) OF THE LEESBURG ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the Town Council has found that it is reasonable to permit off-site parking lots for commercial uses up to 500 feet from the principal site; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Section 2-7-1-(f) of the Zoning Ordinance to accomplish this objective: THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION I. An amendment of Section 2-7-1-(f) of the Leesburg Zoning Ordinance is initiated as shown below: Sections 2-7-1(f) (1), (2) and (3) of the ordinance are deleted ~)--8~a~-be-~eea~e~-w~h~n-an-R-~?-M~v-g-~v-B-~-an~-M-~-mon~ng and replaced with Sections 2-7-!~f~1) through 2-7-1(f)(6). 2-7-1(f)(1) All off-street parking facilities shall be paved and maintained as a paved surface except as provided in Section 7-A-2(d) (Floodplain district regulations). 2-7-1(f)(2) All required off-street parking facilities shall be located on the same zoning lot as the principal use in R-l, R-2 and R-4 zoning districts. AMENDING OFF-SITE PARKING REGULATIONS 2-7-1 (f) (3) Ail required off-street parking facilities for non- residential uses shall be located on the same zoning lot or within 500 feet of the principal uses except as provided below. 2-7-1(f)(4) All required off-street parking facilities for residential uses in R-1 and R-2 zones shall be located on the same zoning lot as the principal use. 2-7-1 (f) (5) All required off-street parking facilities for resi- dential uses in R-3, R-4, B-1 and B-2 zones shall be located on the same zoning lot as the principal use or within 300 feet of the principal use. 2-7-1 (f) (6) Ail off-street parking facilities shall be in the same possession as the owner of the principal use, either by deed or long-term lease. SECTION II. The proposed amendment shall be referred to the Planning Commission for hearing and report and the Planning Commission shall report its recommendation to the Town Council within 60 days of its public hearing.
