What does action accomplish?: This ordinance authorizes the District to file the necessary paperwork with both the City and County Board of Elections to place a $945,000,000 bond authorization proposition before the voters on the February 7, 2012 ballot. The District intends to accept the Rate Commission report at a future Board meeting. PREVIOUS BOARD ACTION RELATED TO THIS ACTION: 8/26/03 – Ordinance No. 11573 – Ordinance authorizes the District to file the necessary paperwork with both the City and County Board of Elections to place a $500,000,000 bond authorization proposition before the voters on the February 3, 2004 ballot. 5/23/08 – Ordinance No. 12633 – Ordinance authorizes the District to file the necessary paperwork with both the City and County Board of Elections to place a $275,000,000 bond authorization proposition before the voters on the August 5, 2008 ballot.
