REQUESTING APPROVAL OF INSERTION OF $19,479
THE 1997 BUDGET REVENUE AVAILABLE FROM THE
LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT
WHEREAS, N.J.S. 40:4-87 provides that the Director of Local
Government Services may approve the insertion of any special
item of revenue in the budget of any municipality when such
item shall have been made available by law and the amount
thereof was not determined at the time df the adoption of the
budget, and
WHEREAS, said Director may also approve the insertion of any
item of appropriation for equal amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Borough of Carteret
hereby requests the Director of the Division of Local
Government Services to approve the insertion of an item of
revenue in the budget of the year 1997 in the sum of $19,479
which item is now available as a revenue from the Lo~al Law
Enforcement Grant Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a like sum of $19,479 be and the
same is hereby appropriated under the caption of:
Local Law Enforcement Grant Program
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $2,164 representing the
minimum amount required for the Borough's share of 'the
aforementioned undertaking appears in the budget for the year
1997 under the caption of Matching Funds for Grants, and is
hereby appropriated under the caption of Local Law Enforcement
Grant Program.
Adopted this 18th day of November, 1997
and certified as a true copy of the original
on November 19, 1997.
