Mr. Webb told the council. that when our ordinance covering elections was written a section governing times of registration was omitted. He said an amending ordinance had been prc:ared and .after reading-, on motion of Ir. Leonard, seconded by mr. Beatty, Gr'.inance No. 31, entitled: ORDINANCE NO. 31 AN ICPDINANCE. The audit for the villa;;e's first three months operation was presented to the council and after discussion, on motion of Mr, brown, seconded by Mr. Simons, the audit was unanimously approved. Mr. Webb said he had 3 notice from the Florida Railroad and Utilities Commission ir.formind the village that the Peoples 'dater and Gas Comlany had asked for an increase in rates. After discussion this notice was tabled. Mr. Webb said Mr. Fred A. Gssanna had written a letter to him stating that he paid his 1952 personal property tax bill and then remem- bered that his house had not been furnishes' until., after `.prii 1st, He asked that a refund be made to him or that he be credited for his 1953 tax. After discussion it was moved by Mr. brown, seconded by Dr. Leonard, and unanimously voted that Mr. Ossanna be granted a refund and the amount tc be charge; to the tax discount and abatement, fund.
