MEDINA CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF MAY 19, 2009
The City Council of Medina, Minnesota met in special session on May 19, 2009 at 6:04
p.m. in the Medina City Hall.
I. Call to Order

City Administrator Chad Adams, Finance Director Jeanne Day,
Public Works Superintendent Steve Scherer, City Attorney Ron
Batty, and City Engineer Tom Kellogg
II. Public Works Facility — Financing and Public Relations Options
Adams provided a background of the public work facility project, including demonstrated
need through a Facilities Master Plan, desired location and land acquisition discussions,
and future capital improvement schedule of the project.
Batty discussed the memo that outlined three options to finance a public works facility,
which included capital improvement bonds, lease purchase bonds, and referendum bonds.
Discussion was held on the three options.
Staff recommended scheduling a public discussion of the public works facility financing
options during the budget open house in August, to include an open house of the public
works facility. The Council agreed to include the public works facility topic as part of
the budget open house in August, to be scheduled later by Council.
III. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
