AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATION OF DONATIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS FOR THE
JUNE 2009 ALL AMERICAN CITY CONFERENCE
WHEREAS, The Mayor would like to raise donations in the amount of Twenty-five Thousand
Dollars ($35,000.00) from individuals; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond desires to utilize any donations raised from individuals to
cover the costs allowing students in the community to attend the All American
City Conference in Tampa, Florida, in June 2009, as well as hotel reimbursement,
travel expenses, and per diem; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this appropriation.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
as follows:
1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to obtain and raise donations from individuals in an
amount not to exceed $35,000.
2. The Mayor is authorized to accept said donations and appropriate any funding received
to community students for the All American City Conference located in Tampa, Florida, in June
2009.
3. Said donations, if received by the City, shall be appropriated to cover the cost of
registration for community youth to attend the 2009 All American City Conference, as well as
hotel reimbursement, travel expenses, and per diem.
Passed and adopted this _20th day of _April 2009 by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
