RESOLUTION REQUESTING INSTAT.~ ATION
OF BUS SHEL'i'~RS AT
LEGALLY DESIGNATED BUS STOPS
WHEREAS, New Jersey Transit has foods for the purchase of Bus Shelters
throughout the State of New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, the Goveming Body of a Municipality in New Jersey, or the
Board of Chosen Freeholders of a County, may apply to the New Jersey
Transit Corporation for the purchase and installation of bus shelters
at legally designated bus stops; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret, in the in?~r, est o~f. promot~i~ng p~t~l_ic
transportation, conse~r¥.atzon of ener~g~,_~ tc~c~e~ ~e,~Yo~i~in~gr~rusL~elters
convenience of the pU~£1c, enoorses n~ ~ ~
within its jurisdiction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the application is hereby made by
the Borough of Carteret to the New Jersey Transit Corporation for the
purchase and installation of five (5) bus shel~er$ as set forth in
Exhibit A, made a part hereof.
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Municipal Clerk of the

Borough of Carteret be authorzze and directed to execute an agreement,
or agreements, with New Jersey Transit to arrange for the purchase and
installation of the bus shelters.
