COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, JANUARY 4, 2016
CALL TO ORDER
The January 4, 2016, City Council “Pre-Meeting” was convened at 5:45 P.M. by
Mayor Carrie Tergin.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Branch, Costales, Graham, Henry, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schreiber, Scrivner, and Ward
Arrived Late: Hussey (arrived at 5:47 p.m.)
Absent: None
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Mayor Tergin asked if Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Director Bill Lockwood
would make an announcement about the Christmas tree drop -off program and
location.
She also asked if Chief Matt Schofield could make an announcement about the
two Jefferson City Fire Department personnel deployed with Missouri Task Force
One to St. Louis to assist in the recent flooding emergency.
Discussion was held regarding an upcoming ordinance pertaining to housing of
animals outdoors which was recently discussed at the Public Safety Committee.
Councilman Mihalevich stated he did not intend to request suspension of the
rules on the ordinance when it does come up for introduction, most likely at the
January 19 Council meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
