A RESOLUTION: PRESENTED August 13, 1986 86-168 ADOPTED August 13, 1986 AUTHORIZING A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO CONSTRUCT, MANAGE AND OPERATE CORPORATE AVIATION MAINTENANCE, STORAGE, AND OFFICE FACILITIES AT LEESBURG MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION I. A descriptive notice of an ordinance entitled: '%N ORDINANCE GRANTING A LEASE TO , ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AT THE LEESBURG MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, LEESBURG, VIRGINIA," attached hereto and made a part hereof, shall be advertised once a week for four successive weeks in the Loudoun Times-Mirror, a newspaper published in the Town of Leesburg, Virginia, and having a general circulation in the Town of Leesburg; and that said advertisement shall invite bids for the lease proposed to be granted in the ordinance and proposals to construct, manage, and operate corporate aviation maintenance, storage and office facili- ties at Leesburg Municipal Airport. SECTION II. The public notice to be published with said ordinance shall be as follows: 'The Town of Leesburg in Virginia invites sealed bid proposals for a lease of a portion of Leesburg Municipal Airport for the construction, operation and management of corporate aviation maintenance, storage and office faci- lities. The ordinance granting a lease at Leesburg Municipal Airport shall be for 40 years for a 20,000 square yard aircraft parking apron and a 2.5 acre area upon which the aforementioned facilities may be constructed. The public notice, request for proposals, and application form constitute the invitation to bidders for the lease and is available in the office of the Town Manager, P.O. Box 88, Leesburg, Virginia, 22075, during regular busi- ness hours. A copy of the full text of the ordinance granting a lease is on file in the office of the Clerk of the Town, Town of Leesburg, 15 West Market Street, P.O. Box 88, Leesburg, VA 22075 during regular business hours. The bids are to be delivered to the Mayor of the Town in an open session of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers of the Town at 10 West Loudoun Street on September 24, at 7:30 p.m. resprop -2- AUTHORIZING RFP AT LEESBURG MUNICIPAL AIRPORT The successful bidder shall pay the cost of required legal advertisements. AN ORDINANCE: PRESENTED ADOPTED GRANTING A LEASE TO ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AT THE LEESBURG MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, LEESBURG, VIRGINIA ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION I. The Town does hereby demise, lease and let unto for forty years as provided in the lease dated , the following described property at Leesburg ~{unicipal Airport in Leesburg, Virginia: (a) A 20,000 square yard aircraft parking apron containing 30 aircraft tie down spaces and located to the immediate south of the vehicular parking lot on the south side of the airport entrance road. (b) An area to the immediate east of the aircraft parking apron described in (a) above and containing 2.5 acres, more or less. The Mayor shall execute and the Clerk of Council shall attest on behalf of the Town. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage. day of , 1986.
