COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, JANUARY 19, 2016
CALL TO ORDER
The January 19, 2016, City Council “Pre-Meeting” was convened at 5:47 P.M. by
Mayor Carrie Tergin.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Branch, Costales, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich,
Prather, Schreiber, Scrivner, and Ward
Absent: None
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Mayor Tergin stated that due to the inclement weather, she hoped to keep the
meeting as brief as possible to allow people to get home safely.
Mayor Tergin stated that unless someone was present at tonight’s meeting for
item 4(b), USS Jefferson City Submarine Flag Dedication, she would like to move
this to the February 1 agenda to dedicate more time to it.
Councilman Graham requested that a new item 4(d) be added to the agenda to
recognize retiring employee Dave Erwin.
Councilman Mihalevich explained that an updated version of Bill 2015 -98
(amending animal Code pertaining to housing animals outdoors). He stated he
did not intend to bring that version forward for consideration tonight, but asked
the Council to look it over and provide their input and continue to get input from
the public on the matter. Unless the Council preferred him to place the bill on the
Informal Calendar, he intended to bring it up and vote on a substitute version at
the February 1 Council meeting.
