A RESOLUTION FOR THE FINAL ACCEPTANCE AND PAYMENT OF THE 2008
WATERMAIN EXTENSION PROJECT PHASE TWO, TIFFIN, IOWA
WHEREAS, on December 3, 2010, the Project Engineer states the Project construction was
completed in general accordance with the approved Plans and Specifications on file with the City
of Tiffin, Iowa and placed in operation and recommends Final Payment be made to the Contractor.
WHEREAS, the 2008 Watermain Extension Project is complete and acceptable to the City of
Tiffin. On December 3, 2010 the Project Engineer's Certification for the completion of, construction
was submitted to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
WHEREAS, the Contractor has presented his final invoice and request for the retainage for
the amount of $45,159.37. Total costs as completed of Project are: $259, 391.40.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa that the 2008
Watermain Extension Project Phase Two is complete and acceptable to the City as per the
documentation and certification as implied by the Engineers representing Hart Frederick
Consultants and the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa now accepts.the project as complete and
authorizes the final payment be made to the Contractor, Summers' Enterprise, Inc. of Masonville,
Iowa.
Motion made by Council person Mark Petersen for approval and acceptance of Resolution 2010-
62 and the motion was seconded by Council person Chris Ball.

Nay: None
Absent: Mike Gericke
Whereupon four votes having voted Aye, Mayor Phillips declared the Resolution 2010-62
A RESOLUTION FOR THE FINAL ACCEPTANCE AND PAYMENT OF THE 2008 WATERMAIN
EXTENSION PROJECT PHASE TWO, TIFFIN, IOWA be adopted and signified his approval of
the same by affixing his signature thereto.
