HomeMy Public PortalAbout17-169 - Amending the Comprehensive Schedule of Fees Adopting by Resolution No.17-069RESOLUTION NO. 17-169 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING NEW FEES AND CHARGES FOR GOODS AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE CITY OF CARSON AND AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE SCHEDULE OF FEES ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 17-069 WHEREAS, on December 19, 2017, following a public hearing, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 17-169 amending the City's Schedule of Fees; and WHEREAS, as part of the annual budget process all departments review the existing fees and charges to determine if changes to the Comprehensive Schedule of Fees are recommended; and WHEREAS, City staff has recommended the fee increases indicated in this Resolution (the "proposed fee schedule"); and WHEREAS, City staff analyzed the costs of providing certain City services, including any materials related thereto, within the "Documentation of Costs Supporting Fee Increases," attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference as Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, on December 7, 2017, and December 14, 2017, a notice of the public hearing to be held on December 19, 2017, regarding the proposed fee increases was published in Our Weekly; and WHEREAS, all interested parties that requested notice of the proposed fee increases were notified, in writing, ten days prior to the public hearing to be held on December 19, 2017, regarding the same; and WHEREAS, at least ten days prior to the December 19, 2017, public hearing, the City made available to the public data indicating the amount of the cost, or estimated cost, required to provide the service for which the fee or service charge is levied and the revenue sources anticipated to provide the service, including General Fund revenues; and WHEREAS, on December 19, 2017, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing at which oral and written testimony was received and considered; and WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to adopt the proposed fee schedule, which amends the fee schedule adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 17-069 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY FINDS, RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS: follows: Section 1.
