HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 01:138No. 01-138 Date of Adoption May 3, 2001 APPROVING CHANGE ORDER TO CONTRACT #00-05; DOROTHY STREET PUMP STATION IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, on November 14, 2000 ,the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret awarded a contract to Maple Construction Company in the amount of $367,000.00 for improvements to the Dorothy Street Pump Station; and WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer, T&M Associates, has advised the Governing Body that a modification of the contract is reasonable and necessary and has recommended that the completion date for the aforesaid contract be extended in accordance with Change Order #1 (see attached letter); and WHEREAS, Change Order #1 provides for an extension in the contract completion date by four (4) weeks, from May 2, 2001 to May 30, 2001, as a result of the delay in the review of the Main Control Panel shop drawing, which resulted in a delay in ordering the necessary equipment for completion of the project; and WHEREAS, the Borough's Engineer, T&M Associates, has certified that said change and/or modification was unforeseen at the time of the award of the original contract. NOW, THERFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret that Change Order #1 extending the contract completion date by four (4) weeks, from May 2, 2001 to May 30, 2001, is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk are hereby authorized to execute Change Order #1.
