AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH WORLD OF FORD SALES, IN(:. FOR A
POLICE VEHICLE
WHEREAS, World of Ford Sales, Inc. has been awarded the 1987 state contract
for police vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Section 7 of the Town's adopted purchasing policy exempts items
purchased through joint purchasing with other public agencies from the com-
petitive bidding provisions of the purchasing regulations; and
WHEREAS, adequate appropriations exist for purchase of a sixth police
vehicle during the current fiscal year.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
The manager is authorized and directed to issue a standard purchase order to
World of Ford Sales, Inc. for the purchase of a 1987 Ford Crown Victoria for the
purchase price of $11,085.
