A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY REQUEST-
ING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO PERMIT THE
REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY
TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, RELATING TO
THE CONDUCT OF A SPECIAL ELECTION
TO BE HELD BY SAID CITY ON SEPTEMBER
13, 1966
WHEREAS, a special election is to be held by the City of
Temple City re proposed Annexation No. 12 to the City of Temple City,
on September 13, 1966; and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in re-
lation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and polling
place inserts to the registered voters of the proposed annexation
territory, and it will facilitate such mailing if the Registrar of
Voters of the County of Los Angeles will prepare and furnish the City
the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters of
said territory on I. B. M. address inserts furnished by the City; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service
shall be paid by the City of Temple City;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 22003
of the Elections Code of the State of California, this City Council
hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to permit the
Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to said City for use in con
ducting said election to be held on September 13, 1966, the imprinting
of the names and addresses of the registered voters of said territory -
on I. B. M. polling place inserts furnished by the City.
Section 2, That said City shall reimburse said County for
services performed when the work is completed and upon presentation
to the City of a properly approved bill.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to for-
ward without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar
of Voters, each a certified copy of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of August, 1966.
