HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 66-650RESOLUTION NO. 66 -650 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY GRANTING CONSENT,AND JURISDIC- TION TO THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES IN THE MATTER OF LONGDEN LIGHTING DISTRICT, PETITION NO. 253 -125 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Ange- les is about to commence proceedings under Division 14 of the Streets and Highways Code, for the annexation of territory to Longden Lighting District; and WHEREAS, the proposed annexation will have street installed in the City of Temple City; and WHEREAS, all of the land included in the proposed lies within the boundary of the City of Temple City, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Temple City as follows: SECTION I. That the public interest, convenience and neces- sity require the maintenance of a street lighting system located within said territory as shown on the maps of the annexation to the Longden Lighting District and on file in the office of the Road Commissioner. lights annexation SECTION II. That this City Council hereby consents to the annexation of said territory, described in the attached legal description, included within the boundaries of said annexation, and lying within the boundary of the City of Temple City. SECTION Ill. That this City Council hereby finds and deter- mines that the lands included within the boundary of the proposed annexation lying within the boundary of the City of Temple City will be benefited by the said proposed annexation to the mainte- nance district, and hereby consents to the inclusion of said lands within the proposed annexation and to the assessment thereof. SECTION IV. That the consent of this City Council is hereby given to the commencement of the proceedings for said annexation to the Longden Lighting District by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, and to the exercise of exclusive jurisdic- tion of said Board of Supervisors over all proceedings necessary thereto for the purpose of consummating the same, all in accordance with the provisions of Division 14 of the Streets and Highways Code. SECTION V. That the Clerk of the City Council is hereby directed to certify and deliver two copies of this resolution to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles. SECTION VI. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution by the City Council of the City of Temple City and shall cause the same to be posted in three (3) conspicuous places in the City of Temple City, and it shall thereupon cake effect. City Cler 949 ANNEXATION TO LONGDEN LIGHTING DISTRICT (Petition No. 253-125) Temporary Zone 6 Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 14 of Tract No. 15874 as shown on map recorded in Book 416, pages 35 and 36 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles; thence easterly in a direct line to the southwesterly corner of Lot 5 of said tract; thence northerly in a direct line through the northwesterly corner of said last mentioned lot to the southerly line of Tract No. 11699 as shown on map recorded in Book 218, page 49 of said Maps; thence easterly along said southerly line to the northerly prolongation of the easterly line of Lot 18 of Tract No. 14053 as shown on map recorded in Book 292, pages 47 and 48 of said Maps; thence southerly in a direct line through the southeasterly corner of Lot 26 of said last mentioned tract to the center line of Miloann Street as shown on said last mentioned map; thence easterly along said center line to the northerly prolongation of the easterly line of Lot 6 of said last mentioned tract; thence southerly in a direct line to the southeasterly corner of said last mentioned lot; thence westerly along the boundary of said last mentioned tract and following the same in all its various courses to the southerly line of Lot 21 of said Tract No. 15874; thence westerly in a direct line to the southwesterly corner of said last mentioned lot; thence northerly in a direct line to the point of beginning. 950
