Calkins Patricia Kaikanis Cally Larson Brian Wojowski Time and Place of Opening of Bids: The Village of Plainfield will receive and accept bids ONLY through QuestCDN.com via their electronic VirtuBidT"' online bid service. The Village of Plainfield will receive electronic bids online until 10:00 AM on April 6th, 2021. There will be a non-refundable fee for submitting a bid. See below for QuestCDN project number and visit the QuestCDN website (www.questcdn.com) for access. Description of Work: 2021 Pavement Patching Program: Asphalt pavement patching. Hot -Mix Asphalt Surface Removal and Replacement -2 Inch (roadway patches) and Class D Patches, 3 Inches (bike path patches) at various locations throughout the Village limits. Prospective Bidders must purchase contract documents through Quest Construction Data Network (QuestCDN). Visit the QuestCDN website (www.questcdn.com) for access. Use the seven -digit QuestCDN project number 7446694 to locate the job on the QuestCDN website search page. There is a non-refundable fee for downloading the contract documents in a pdf format. Bids will not be accepted from any prospective bidder who has not purchased contract documents through QuestCDN. Please contact the Village of Plainfield (815) 436-3577 (Arlan Schattke or Scott Threewitt) for additional information. The Contractor must be prequalified by the Illinois Department of Transportation for the type and amount of work to be performed unless approved prior to bidding by the Village of Plainfield. The successful bidder must comply with provisions of the Illinois statute entitled "Wages of Employees on Public Works", as amended. The successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish a satisfactory payment bond and performance bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract. A certified check, bank draft, satisfactory bid bond, or cash, payable to the order of the Village of Plainfield in amount not less than five (5) percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Village of Plainfield reserves the right to reject the bid of any nonresponsive, non -responsible bidder, and waive any informality to the benefit of the Village of Plainfield. Any bidder may withdraw his bid prior to the opening of the bids. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the bids without the consent of the Village of Plainfield for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of bid opening.
