RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #96-315
WHEREAS, by Resolution #96-315, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough")
retained the legal services of Barry/klbin, Esq. in connection with the defense action
involving Officer Nicholas Zubanko; and
WHEREAS, said defense required more services than originally anticipated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council
that the amount of funds to be expended in connection with the defense of the
referenced matter is increased by $l,857.20, with the cumulative total of funds
expended pursuant to Resolution #96-315 and this resolution, not to exceed
$2,857.20.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this amendment is made without competitive
bids in accordance with N.JS.A. 40A:11-5 (l) (a) due to the specialized and
professional nature of the service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of this action shall be published in The
Home News and Tribune on December 23, 1997.
Adopted this 18th day of December, 1997
and certified as a true copy of the original
on December 19, 1997.
