HomeMy Public PortalAbout18-069 - Adopting the Fiscal Year 2018-19 Budget in the General Fund and Special Revenue FundsRESOLUTIONNO.18-069ARESOLUTIONOFTHECITYOFCARSONCITYCOUNCILADOPTINGTHEFISCALYEAR2018-19BUDGETINTHEGENERALFUNDANDSPECIALREVENUEFUNDSWHEREAS,theCityManagerandStaffhavepreparedandsubmittedtotheCityCounciltheproposedbudgetforFiscalYear2018-19(FY18-19),whichcommencesonJuly1,2018andendsonJuneJ30,2019;andWHEREAS,onMarch20,2018,April17,2018,May15,2018,andMay29,2018,theCityCouncilconductedbudgetworkshopstoprovideanopportunitytothepublictocommentontheproposedbudgetforFY18-19;andWHEREAS,pursuanttoCarsonMunicipalCodeSection2952,theCityCouncilheldadulynoticedpublichearingonJune19,2018toconsideradoptingthebudgetforFY18-19;andWHEREAS,theCityCouncilhasreviewedtheproposedFY1S-19budget;andWHEREAS,theCityCouncilhasdetermineditnecessaryforefficientmanagementoftheCitytoappropriatecertainsumsinvariousdepartmentsforvariousactivitiesoftheCity.NOW,THEREFORE,THECITYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOFCARSONDOESHEREBYRESOLVE,FIND,DETERMINE,ANDORDERASFOLLOWS:Section1.TheGeneralFundbudgetandSpecialRevenueFundsbudgetfortheCityofCarsonbeginningJuly1,2018andendingJune30,2019isherebyadopted.SaidbudgetbeingtheproposedbudgetasreviewedandamendedbytheCityCouncil,acopyofwhichisonfileintheCityClerk’sOffice.Section2.ThefundsareherebyappropriatedtotherespectiveaccountsforexpenditureinFY18-19,assetforthintheproposedandamendedbudget.Section3.ThefollowingsumsofmoneyareherebyappropriatedtothefollowingdepartmentsoftheCityforexpenditureduringFY18-19.GENERALFUNDCityCouncil$927,549CityClerk$1,112,767CityTreasurer$788,874JLegalServices$2,920,000CityManager$4,351,107HPublicSafety$24,071,330HumanResources$2,597,877Finance$4,085,693CommunityDevelopment$7,496,259PublicWorks$16,444,543RESOLUTIONNO.18-069Page1of3
