SPECIAL MEETING
April 19, 2001
The Moab City Council held a Special Meeting on the above date at the
Council Chambers of Moab City Offices, located at 115 West 200
South, Moab, Utah. Mayor Karla R. Hancock called the Special
Meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. In attendance were Councilmembers
Kirstin Peterson, Joseph Lekarczyk, Kyle Bailey and Rob Sweeten. Also
in attendance were City Manager Donna J. Metzler, Public Works
Director Brent Williams, Planning & Community Development Director
David Olsen and Deputy Recorder Danielle Shumway.
Councilmember Bailey moved to approve Request of a Special Event
License by Moab Cyclery to Conduct a Tour of Canyonlands Bike Race
to be held on April 20 - 22, 2001. Councilmember Peterson seconded
the motion. The motion carried 4-0 aye.
Councilmember Peterson moved to approve request of a Special Event
License by Tina Shuey to Conduct Moab's Home & Garden Show in
April 21, 2001. Councilmember Bailey seconded the motion. The
motion carried 4-0 aye.
City Manager Metzler made a presentation regarding the budget for
fiscal year 2001/2002. Discussion followed between Councilmembers
and Department Heads.
Mayor Hancock adjourned the Special Meeting at 9:30 p.m.
