Parks Division Section 211.1
211. 1 SUBJECT: ORGANIZATION AND POLICY
:1 OBJECTIVE:
Develops, administers and maintains parks, other public lands and facilities of the
City; enforces applicable ordinances.
:2 AUTHORITY:
This procedure amended by City Council September 15, 2003.
:3 DIRECTION:
Division Manager, as an appointed official, serves at the pleasure of the Mayor and
receives direction through the Families, Parks and Recreation Director.
:4 FUNCTIONS:
A. Develops and administers parks and other public lands of the City, including
the design and execution of landscaping plans; development and planting of trees
and plants; and the care and maintenance of flora, grounds and trees, except in
those areas where power and duties have been delegated to others by order of the
Mayor and/or City Council.
B. Administers and effects compliance of tree protection ordinance.
C. The Division Manager serves as a technical advisor to the Families, Parks
and Recreation Board and the Loch Haven Park Board.

None.
:6 COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES:
None. (Division Manager or designee shall attend all meetings of the Community &
Youth Services Board and Loch Haven Park Board.)
