Pastor Joseph S. Rooney of Saint Pius X Catholic Church read the
following letter into public record:
St. Pius Catholic Church is one of the two churches in the proximity of
the above location (53 West 400 North). St. Pius has not objection to
the granting of this application for a beer license. "Ray's of Moab" has
as its primary business the sale of food, the offering of the opportunity
for its customers to purchase beer would appear to be secondary. The
owners have run a similar establishment in Green River, Utah for a
number of years and have a fine reputation in that community. We
expect that the same would also be true here in Moab.
