A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
VACATE A PORTION OF THE NORTH WEST CORNER OF
AVALON BOULEVARD AND SEPULVEDA BOULEVARD
AND SETTING A TIME AND A PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING HEREIN
The City Council of the City of Carson does hereby resolves, finds, determines and
order that:
Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Par 3 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California (Sec. 8300, et seq.) the City Council of the
City of Carson hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of portion of Avalon
Boulevard north of Sepulveda Boulevard, approximately 2,250 square feet.
Section 2. The portion of Avalon Boulevard proposed to be vacated is
shown on the map entitled "EXHIBIT B" on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Carson and open to public inspection and described as follows:
All that certain land situated, in the City of Carson, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, and being a portion of Lot 230 of Tract Map No. 11468 recorded in
Miscellaneous Map Book 254 Pages 1 through 4 Records of Los Angeles County,
described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast comer of lot 230 of Tract Map No. 11468 recorded in
Miscellaneous Map Book 254 pages 1 through 4 records of Los Angeles `,County;
Thence North 45° 03' 25" East, 24.81 feet to the westerly right of way of Avalon
Boulevard; Thence northerly along the westerly right of way North 1* 54' 35" East,
133.00 feet to a point; Thence Easterly South 880 05' 25" East, 14.50 feet; Thence
southwesterly parallel with the Centerline of Avalon Boulevard South 1* 54' 35" West,
124.06 feet; Thence South 45° 03' 25" West; 36.48 feet; Thence South 88° 12' 15"
West, 6.53 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
Section 3. A Public Hearing shall be held on such proposed vacation on
January 8, 2002, at the hour of 6:00 P.M. at the City Council Chambers at Carson City
Hall, 701 E. Carson Street, Carson, California, at which time and place any and all
persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation may appear and be heard.
Section 4. The City Council hereby directs that notice of the public hearing
be published pursuant to Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California and be posted conspicuously along the portion of Avalon Boulevard
proposed to be vacated pursuant to Section 8323 of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California

Carson on the 20th day of November, 2001.
