HomeMy Public PortalAbout19-032 - Amending the Fiscal Year 2018-19 Budget in the Transportation Division for Certified Natural GasRESOLUTIONNO.19-032ARESOLUTIONOFTHECARSONCITYCOUNCILAMENDINGTHEFISCALYEAR2018-19BUDGETINTHETRANSPORTATIONDIVISIONFORCERTIFIEDNATURALGASWHEREAS,theCityCounciladoptedtheCity’sFiscalYear(FY)2018-19budgetonJune19,2018;andWHEREAS,TheCityofCarsonoperatestheCarsonCircuit,afixed-routepublictransitsystemthatservicesdefinedareasoftheCity;andWHEREAS,CNGfuelusedforthebusesispurchasedfromCleanEnergyFuelsCorp.(CleanEnergy);andWHEREAS,ongoingcontractnegotiationswithCleanEnergyhaveledtoanumberofinvoicesthathavenotyetbeenpaid,andtheneedtoestablishablanketpurchaseorderforpurchasesmadeuntiltheendofthisfiscalyear;andWHEREAS,fundsintheamountof$152,553.73willbeusedtopayinvoicesfortheperiodJuly2018throughDecember2018,and$168,000.00fortheperiodJanuary2019throughJune2019.Thiswillrequireanadditional$45,553.73tomeettheDivision’sobligationsuntiltheendofthefiscalyear;andWHEREAS,theCityCouncildesirestoamendFY2018-19budgetinordertoensurepaymentofthesepastandfutureinvoices.NOW,THEREFORE,THECITYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOFCARSONDOESHEREBYRESOLVE,FIND,DETERMINE,ANDORDERASFOLLOWS:Section1.ThefollowingamendmentswillbemadetotheCity’sbudget:AccountNumberProgram&OblectDescriptionAmountIncrease218-90-940-180-7007Transportation/CertifiedNatural$18,221.49Gas219-90-940-180-7007Transportation/CertifiedNatural$27,332.24GasSection2.TheCityClerkshallcertifytotheadoptionofthisresolutionandshallkeepacopyofthisresolutionattachedtotheFY2018-19budgetonfile,andeffectiveasofFebruary5,2019,thesameshallbeinforceandeffect.RESOLUTIONNO.19-032Page1of2
