HomeMy Public PortalAboutMIN-CC-2001-09-13MOAB CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING September 13, 2001 The Moab City Council held a Special Meeting on the above in the Council Chambers of Moab City Offices, located at 115 West 200 South, Moab, Utah. Mayor Karla R. Hancock called the Special City Council Meeting to order at 5:00 PM. In attendance were Councilmembers Gregg W. Stucki, Joseph Lekarczyk and Kyle Bailey. Also present were City Manager Donna J. Metzler, City Recorder/Assistant City Manager Rachel Ellison, Public Works Director Brent Williams, City Planner Robert Hugie and Police Chief Michael NaVarre. Councilmember Rob Sweeten arrived at 5:03 PM. Councilmember Bailey moved to approve a Request for Local Consent for a Private Club License for Kevin Gallaher, d.b.a. Poplar Place, located at 11 East 100 North. Councilmember Lekarczyk seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0 aye. For the One -Ton Truck bid, bids were received as follows: Certified Ford $33,089.01 Hinckley Dodge $40,877.72 Utah Auto Collection $33,267.18 Salt Lake Valley GMC $34,563.52 Councilmember Stucki moved to award the One -Ton Truck bid to Certified Ford in the amount of $33,089.01. Councilmember Lekarczyk seconded the motion. The motion carried 4-0 aye by a roll -call -vote. Councilmember Sweeten moved to approve Change Order #1 for the 2001 Chip Sealant Project. Councilmember Bailey seconded the motion. The motion carried 4-0 aye by a roll -call -vote. Councilmember Stucki moved to approve an Agreement for Torch Relay Services between the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002 and the City of Moab. Councilmember Sweeten seconded the motion. The motion carried 4-0 aye by a roll -call -vote. No action was taken on Approval of the Designated Marks and Copyrights License Agreement between the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002 and the City of Moab. Councilmember Bailey stated that he was related by marriage to Marlene Bailey. The motion carried 4-0 aye. APPPROVAL OF BILLS Councilmember Sweeten moved to pay the bills against the City of Moab in the amount of $259,659.34. Councilmember Stucki seconded ADJOURNMENT the motion. The motion carried 4-0 aye by a roll -call -vote. Mayor Hancock adjourned the Special Meeting at 5:24 PM.
