We look forward to working closely with you in this matter. To ensure your complete understanding and approval, this letter will describe the terms under which Ekl, Williams & Provenzale LLC will be providing legal services to you and how you will be billed for our services. You will be billed monthly for legal services rendered and out-of-pocket costs advanced. Our invoices are payable upon receipt. Our fees vary depending on a number of factors, including the complexity of the project and the billing rate of the attorney performing work. Our current hourly billing rates for this matter are: $65 per hour for Legal Assistants, $75 per hour for Paralegals, $175 per hour for Associates and $225 per hour for Partners and my rate is $275. These rates are subject to change from time-to-time and you will be provided with at least thirty (30) days advance notice. You also will be provided with itemized statements for all time spent and costs advanced on your behalf. The costs or expenses which we incur on your behalf will be included as part of your monthly invoice. Such expenses may include document reproduction costs, travel expenses, filing fees, charges for long distance telephone calls, messenger delivery, express delivery and the like. If we anticipate incurring substantial expenses on your behalf, we may request an advanced costs retainer to cover such anticipated expenses or, alternatively, have you pay all or a portion of such expenses directly. Invoices which remain unpaid after forty-five (45) days from the date of the invoice shall accrue interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, compounded monthly. In the event you should fail to meet your financial obligation to this firm as outlined in this retainer agreement, we may immediately withdraw, upon proper notice, as your attorneys from all matters handled by this firm.
