P~SOLUTION NO. 88-36
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH WILLIAM H. GORDON ASSOCIATES FOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES TO DEVELOP A DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
STANDARDS MANUAL FOR THE TOWN OF LEESBURG
~EREAS: The Town of Leesburg received proposals on December 18, 1987
from consulting engineering firms to provide engineering services to
develop and prepare a design and construction standards manual for the Town
of Leesburg; and
WHEREAS: The selection committee interviewed the four highest ranked
firms in accordance with Section 8-3 of the purchasing regulations; and
WHEREAS: The selection committee ranked William H. Gordon Associates
as the highest rated firm and has concluded contract negotiations:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
as follows:
SECTION I. The manager is authorized to enter into a contract on behalf
of the Town with William H. Gordon, Associates in an amount not to exceed
$86,000.00 for the development and preparation of a Design and Construction
Standards Manual.
SECTION II. ~J1 appropriation in the amount of $7,500.00 is authorized
from the unappropriated General Fund balance to account #200.3401.300.010,
Contractural Services and, an appropriation in the amount of $7,500.00 is
