Board Members Present: Staff Present: Rick Derks Chief Roger Schroeder Bill Burton Lt Jeff Stiefermann Rob Trowbridge Sara Trittler, City Staff Kelly Dillon The minutes of the October 14, 2015 Board meeting were approved Chief Schroeder announced that Bethany Benward had been hired as the department’s Fiscal Affairs Officer and was on the job. Further, o ne communications operator has been hired and is on the job. Two newly hired police officers started training at the LETI on January 1, 2016. Lt. Stiefermann presented a schedule to open applications for communications operators and police officers on January 8, 2016; advertise those positions beginning January 17, 2016, for testing on February 10 and 13, 2016, for oral boards beginning February 29, 2016 and for polygraph, backgrounds, interviews and physicals in March and April 2016. The Board agreed to provide members to proctor the tests. Rick Derks will confirm the testing assignments and forward to Lt. Stiefermann. Following a motion by Kelly Dillon the following Board officers were unanimously elected to serve for 2016: Rick Derks – Chair Bill Burton – Vice Chair Lisa Turner – Secretary The next Board meeting was scheduled for February 18, 2016.
