RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA TO
EXECUTE AGREEMENT WITH THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR A
FEDERAL -AID AGREEMENT TRANSPORTATION PROJECT NO. STP -U-7662(608)-70-25
IRELAND AVENUE EXTENSION
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin, Iowa desires to extend Ireland Avenue from Railroad Avenue
North to Hwy 6 for safety purposes and for future economic growth to benefit the city.
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin, Iowa desires to secure funding assistance from the Iowa
Department of Transportation with Federal Highway funds for the Ireland Avenue Extension
Project.
THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED THE City of Tiffin, Iowa will design, inspect and administer
construction of the primary highway project in accordance with the project plans and Department of
Transportation standard specifications. Funds requested are $430,000. Upon completion and
properly documented billing, Department of Transportation will reimburse City for Department of
Transportation share of costs.
MOTION by Councilperson Jim Bartels seconded by Councilperson Travis Weipert
To adopt and approve Resolution 2010-52 to execute an agreement with the Iowa Department of
Transportation.
AYES: Chris Ball, Jim Bartels, Mark Petersen. Travis Weipert
NAY: None
ABSENT: Mike Gericke
Whereupon four votes having voted Aye, Mayor Phillips declared the Resolution 2010-52 A
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA TO
EXECUTE AGREEMENT WITH THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR A
FEDERAL. -AID AGREEMENT TRANSPORTATION PROJECT NO. STP -U-7662(608)-70-25
IRELAND AVENUE EXTENSION, be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing
his signature thereto.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 3rd Day of November 2010.
