THE MEETING WAS C.ALLT411) to order by the mayor at 8:4 11.4
The mayor announced that the meeting was called for the purpose
of calling a special election. All members were present.
The following resolution was offered and its adoption
moved by uirustee Hasbrouck;
RESOLUTION
Whereas it has been fouhd advisable and to the best int-
erest3 of the Town of Ault and its inhabitants that the town dis-
continue the generation and distribution of electric energy and
sell its distril-TrYon system therefor, including transformers,meters
and street-lighidlig equipment; and.
Whereas the Town has present offer from the Home gas and
Electric company to buy said property at the price of Ten thous-
and dollars,payable five thousand dollars at time of delivery,
balance in five equal annual payments bearing eight percenturr
tnt-
erect per annum with the option to the town to deduct sal. ; defert0
payments from its own monthly bills to become due said company
for electric current for street lighting and for pumping and for
merchandise.
R-- SOLVED,that said offer be accepted provided that at a
special election to be held for that purpose the question of said
sale be submitted to the qualified tax-paying electors of said
Town of Ault,aad said sale be ratified by them at said election.
RESOLVED,further that said special election be called
and is called for Tuesday,July l9 , ,1921,and said question be
sabmitted thereat for ratificatio, of the persons entitled to vote
on said question,and that the Town Clerk is hereby directed to
issue notices of said election,and of registration therefor and
to procure the necessary supplies for said purpose.
Seconded by Dundas.On vote the following mrustees voted
AYE: Hasbrouck,Dundas ,Anderson, ndrews, ewell,Gafner
NAY: None
hereupon it was declared said resolution adopted,and it
was so ordered.
Thereupon Andre,,s moved, seconded by Hasbrouck that C H Frye
Mrs.R W Riedel and. MRs C C Robinson be appointed Judges of Election.
All vote YEA.
Gafner moved,Andre7s seconded to adjourn subject to the
call of the mayor.All vote YEA
