RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PROPOSAL FOR
PICNIC TABLE REPLACEMENT UNITS
FOR THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, IOWA .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Riverdale("City")authorized its staff to solicit
proposals for replacement picnic tables for Havens Acres Park; and,
WHEREAS; the City did receive quotes for eight foot steel tables with the following results:
Iowa Prison Industries, Anamosa
2 ea 8' Poly Coated Metal Tables: $1,690
Shipping: N/C
Grand Total $1,690
Park and Play Structures, Omaha
2 ea 8' Poly Coated Metal Tables: $1,842
Shipping: $ 246
Grand Total $2,088 ;and,
WHEREAS, having reviewed the above proposals for comparability, City staff recommends
purchase of the tables from Iowa Prison Industries for their quote of$1.690.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RIVERDALE, SCOTT COUNTY, IN THE STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1. That the quote from Iowa Prison Industries dated September 18, 2018 shall be made
part of and is hereafter a part of this resolution.
Section 2. That said quote from Iowa Prison Industries shall be accepted by the City Council of
the City of Riverdale.
Section 3. That the City Clerk shall initiate an order from Iowa Prison Industries for the purchase
of two Poly-Coated Picnic Tables, item SPE 3779 E 1,to be delivered to the City of Riverdale.
