Mayor Steve Berner called the meeting to order at 6:01 PM. Upon roll being called the following Council Members Present: Peggy Upton, Jim Bartels, Al Havens, Mike Ryan, Eric Schnedler. Absent: None. Other members present: City Administrator Doug Boldt, City Clerk Ashley Platz, Building Official Brian Shay, City Engineer Ben Carhoff, City Attorney Crystal Raiber and others. C.Discussion of Automated Garbage and Recycling System – Johnson County Refuse Steve Smith, Owner of Johnson County Refuse, presented the Pilot program for an Automated Garbage & Recycling System. D.Discussion of Grove Park Development (443 East Marengo Road) Nick Faselt – Presented the OPD Concept they are trying to work through. John – provided an economic picture as to how this development would benefit the community. Also in attendance with the TifFun Creek Fest Committee: Tara Scranton, Robin Gerot and JP Cartier. th July 28 2018 – 5K – MacKenzie Loan – Parade (Route still being determineed)- fishing derby – kick ball tournament, dunk tank, petting zoo, slip & slide, beer tents & food venders – Concert with Jake McVay and Fireworks. Travis Weipert – Concerns with duplex rentals with excessive vehicles that are causing issues with neighbors. Key Kain – Echoed Travis’ concerns.
