A.Roll Call
Th City of Tiffin held a Council Work Session at Tiffin City Hall Council Chambers on March 20, 2018.
Mayor Steve Berner called the meeting to order at 6:05 PM. Upon roll being called the following Council
Members Present: Peggy Upton, Jim Bartels, Al Havens, Mike Ryan, Eric Schnedler. Absent None. Other
members present: City Administrator Doug Boldt, City Clerk Ashley Platz, Building Official Brian Shay
and City Engineer Ben Carhoff, Hart-Frederick Consultants.

Motion to approve the agenda by Havens

C.Discussion of Tobacco-Free City Parks
Discussion: Council would like signs in park stating thank you for not smoking, healthy lungs at work. No
need for an ordinance on this matter
D.Discussion of Tobacco-Free and Electronic-Free City Designation
Discussion: Same as above
E.Discussion of Ordinance No. 2018-433 – Commercial Business Districts and Table C
Discussion: Council would like another WS on this matter; change must to may on pg 50. Council would
like this reformatted. Council would like PH on this as well
F.Questions from Council Members regarding items on the Regular City Council Agenda
Discussion: Questions about AP; Johnson County Sheriff two invoices (missed in Feb), Junge invoice
(Brian D was able to speak about the repair), Tiffin Fire Association paid 3x (previous AP was missed)

The City of Tiffin held a Special Council Meeting at Tiffin City Hall Council Chambers on March 27,
2018. Mayor Steve Berner called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM. Upon roll being called the following
Council Members Present: Peggy Upton (Arrived 6:05PM), Jim Bartels, Al Havens, Mike Ryan, Eric
Schnedler. Absent None. Other members present: City Administrator Doug Boldt, City Clerk Ashley
Platz, Building Official Brian Shay and City Engineer Ben Carhoff, Hart-Frederick Consultants and City
Attorney Bob Michael.

Mark Petersen (631 Kimberlite St) does not like the Faselt idea (Grove Park Development) would
like the council to consider something else in this space like a dollar store.
Jason Wilkerson does not like the idea of garbage stickers (199 Stephans St)
