A RESOLUTION CONCERNING HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS OF EMPLOYEES OF
THE TOWN OF FRASER.
WHEREAS, The Town of Fraser, recognizes the need to set forth for
all full time employees certain benefits of their employment, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees have deemed that a health insurance
plan is a benefit to be provided to the full time employees of the
Town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF FRASER THAT THE FOLLOWING POLICY IS SET FORTH AND IS TO BE
MADE AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE TOWN OF FRASER,
COLORADO.
SECTION 1. HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFIT
The Town of Fraser believes that a health insurance plan is an
important benefit to be provided to the employees of the Town. Any
employee employed by the Town to work forty hours or more per week
may be eligible to participate in the health insurance plan provided
by the Town, provided that they otherwise qualify for such coverage
under the terms of said plan.
SECTION 2. HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN
The Town may provide to the employees of the Town a health
insurance plan. The Town may elect to change policies, scope of
insurance coverage, change premium contributions and eligibility at
any time when deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
SECTION 3. PLAN FOR PRESENT EMPLOYEES
For eligible employees employed by the Town prior to January 1,
1992 the Town shall pay one hundred (100) percent of the employee
premium as an individual. If the employee has a spouse and /or
dependent children, the Town shall pay one hundred (100) percent of
the total family benefit for those employees.
SECTION A. FUTURE EMPLOYEES
Eligible employees hired after January 1, 1992, shall be
provided health insurance by the following guidelines;
a,
1. The Town will pay one hundred (100) percent of the employee
premium if the employee is single and has no dependents.
2. If the employee has a spouse and /or dependent children, the
Town will pay one hundred (100) percent of the employee benefit and
sixty (60) percent of the premium of the spouse /dependent children
benefit during the first year of employment, provided that the
employee agrees to pay the balance of the spouse /dependent children
premium.
3. For each consecutive year of employment completed by the
employee, the Town shall increase the Town share of the
spouse /dependent children premium by ten-(10) percent per year as
long as the employee agrees to pay the balance of the premium due.
In the fifth year of consecutive employment the Town shall pay one
hundred (100) percent of employee and spouse /dependent children
insurance premium.
SECTION 5. POLICY CHANGES
The Town Board may change the policy announced in this
Resolution at any time without prior notice by any appropriate
means, including a resolution that provides that none of the policy
set forth here is to be applicable in the future. The Board of
Trustees may decide at any time to discontinue the health insurance
plan benefit for existing as well as future employees of the Town.
SECTION 6. EFFECTIVE DATE
This Resolution shall become effective on January 1, 1992.
