A CALLED MEETING OF TPF TOWN BOARD WAS CALLED T ORDER BY THE MAYOR at 8:00 F.Y. for the purpose of discussing the smallpox it ,uation in the Town, Trustees, Hasbrouek,Gaffner,Andrews,Dundas and Anderson were present. Dr.McCain explained the condition in that part of the county out side of the Corperate limits of the Town over which he has charge as Health officer. Yr Harding reported to the Board that the people within the 11111 Town were not living up to the rules of the Quarantine. Dr.Anders9n reported the condition within the limits of the Town over which he had charge as Town Physioion. Dr Giddeon the county health olficer , from Greeley addresed the Meeting and stated that the only way to overcome this proposition. was to enforce a strict quarantine, and offered .his assistance in . to help in claing this,He all so informed the Meeting that the cou nty pest house would take care of any cases that the Town might send there. , Prof J .R. Shaw reported the condition in the Ault schools and recomended that the schoils be .not closed. Sheriff Hall offered to give a deputy sheriffship to some man in the cumunity to help enforce the quarantine as a health officer Dr.Anderson moved, Seconded. by Dundas that W.E.Farding be releiv- ed as night watch and appointed as assistance health officer for the period of the emmergency, All present vote Y.F.A. T-,ustees Fasbrouck,Ne-vell, Gaffner,Andrews and Anderson pre- sent. Mayor Smith offered the proposition of haveing the county hand le the fumigation of the places where people had been quarantined with the smallpox rather than the. city, thereby saving the Town the expence of this work. Dr Anderson offered to give the position of Town phycisian to Dr McCain providing the county would take care of the expences of fumigation in the Town of Ault. Mr Hasbrouck then stated that Yr Strait told him that the coil* ty would take care of this expence. Mayor Smith then called Dr McCain over the Telephone and was assured that the Town would not incurr any expence whatever. Dr. Anderson tendered his resignation as Town rhycisian to take place at once,T.:Ipon vote all present voted to accept Dr Andersons resignation. Andrews moved, seconded by Gaffner that Dr McCain be appointed Town Fhycisian, All present vote YEA.
