BOARD OF DIRECTORS
APRIL 24 , 1987
I. CALL TO ORDER
The Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula
Regional Open Space District was called to order by President
Richard Bishop at 10: 15 A.M. on Friday, April 24 , 1987 in the park-
ing lot of Independence Hall, 3155 Woodside Road, Woodside. The
purpose of the meeting was a field trip with the San Mateo County
Board of Supervisors, other government officials , and members of
the public to various District lands in San Mateo County.
Members Present: Richard Bishop, Gerry Andeen, Nonette Hanko and
Edward Shelley.
Members Absent: Katherine Duffy, Teena Henshaw and Daniel Wendin.
Personnel Present: Herbert Grench, Craig Britton, David Hansen,
James Boland, Mary Hale, Jean Fiddes , Del Woods, Carleen Bruins ,
Doris Smith, Joan Combs, Marie McGough, Dennis Danielson, Michael
Newburn and Alexis Bryce.
II. Tour of District Lands
The bus tour included stops at Purisima Creek Redwoods, Windy Hill,
Monte Bello, and Los Trancos Open Space Preserves . Participants
walked the Whole Access Trail at Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space
Preserve and portions of the Windy Hill, Monte Bello, and Los Trancos
Open Space Preserves ' trail systems. A luncheon was served at the
Windy Hill Open Space Preserve. Other District sites were pointed
out, and information about the District was provided as the two buses
traveled along Skyline Boulevard.
III. ADJOURNMENT
The buses returned from the Monte Bello Open Space Preserve parking
lot to Independence Hall. The second bus arrived at 2 : 30 P.M. and
the meeting was adjourned.
