SPECIAL MEETING
April 20, 2000
The Moab City Council held a special meeting on the above in the
Council Chambers of Moab City Offices, located at 115 West 200
South, Moab, Utah. Mayor Karla R. Hancock called the Special City
Council Meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. In attendance were
Councilmembers Kirstin Peterson, Gregg W. Stucki and Kyle Bailey.
Also present were City Manager Donna J. Metzler, Deputy Recorder II
Danielle Shumway, Moab Arts and Recreation Center Manager Eve
Passeltiner, City Treasurer Laurie Ramstetter, Acting Temporary Police
Chief Michael NaVarre and Police Sergeant John Scott Mallon.
The purpose of the Special Meeting was:
1) Budget Workshop between the Governing Body and City
Department Heads for FY 2000-2001 for all funds.
2) Consideration of an offer to accept a donation of personal property to
the Moab Arts and Recreation Center
Councilmember Bailey moved to authorize acceptance of the donation
of eleven shares of capital stock in the Anderson Lumber Company and
to authorize Mayor Hancock to execute the necessary transfer and proxy
documents and that the shares be transferred for cash as soon as
practicable. Councilmember Stucki seconded the motion. The motion
carried 3-0 aye by a roll -call -vote.
City Manager Metzler made a presentation regarding the budget for
fiscal year 2000-2001. Discussion followed between Councilmembers
and Department Heads.
Mayor Hancock adjourned the Special Meeting at 8:55 p.m.
