AWARD CONTRACT FOR TREE, BRUSH AND STUMP REMOVAL
AT CITY PARK AREA FOR FUTURE SOCCER FIELDS
WITHIN THE EASTERNLY CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN, IOWA
WHEREAS: on this 15th day of September 2010, proposals were reviewed for bids to begin
tree, brush, and stump removal from area to be developed into the future Soccer Field's as part
of the overall City Park Improvements.
WHEREAS, a concept plan has been approved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin,
Johnson county, -Iowa for this above mentioned improvements project.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; BY the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa to accept the lowest and
most responsible bid and award the contract to begin as soon as possible for the tree, brush,
and stump removal project after notice of award, contract and to proceed have been duly
executed by the Mayor and City Clerk. tContractor will provide Certificate of Insurance and will
proceed.with proposed work within the guidelines set forth in the proposal packet. Failure to
proceed as scheduled will cause contract to be forfeited and awarded to another contractor.
MOTION MADE BY Councilperson Travis Weipert Seconded by Councilperson Mark Petersen
to authorize Resolution 2010-48 AWARD CONTRACT FOR TREE, BRUSH AND STUMP
REMOVAL AT CITY PARK AREA FOR FUTURE SOCCER FIELDS
WITHIN THE EASTERNLY-CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN, IOWA.

ABSENT: None
With Five votes for approval, Mayor Phillips now declares Resolution 2010-48 AWARD
CONTRACT FOR TREE, BRUSH AND STUMP REMOVAL AT CITY PARK AREA FOR
FUTURE SOCCER FIELDS WITHIN THE EASTERNLY CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN, IOWA.
