A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY REVERSING
RESOLUTION NO. 66 -234PC OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING A
VARIANCE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds and determines
that an application was filed by the owners of certain real
property located in the City of Temple City, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, located at 9635 East Las Tunas
Drive in said City (Lots 171, 172, 173, 174 and 175, Tract
No. 6561, Book 72, pages 34 and 35 of Maps in the office of
the County Recorder of said Los Angeles County) requesting a
variance to allow a sign structure having an overall height
of 42 feet; and that said application was heretofore denied
by the Planning Commission of this City.
SECTION 2. That said variance decision of the Planning
Commission was heretofore appealed to the City Council pur-
suant to the City Code and a public hearing held thereon.
SECTION 3. That said variance to allow a sign structure
per plans submitted but having an overall height of 40 feet
for the property located at 9635 East Las Tunas Drive is
hereby granted and Resolution No. 66 -234PC of the Planning
Commission is hereby reversed for the following reasons:
1. That strict application of the regulations and
standards of this Chapter will result in practi-
cal difficulties or unnecessary hardships in-
consistent with the general purpose and intent
of said regulations and standards; and
2. That the variance will not constitute a grant
of special privilege inconsistent with the
limitations upon other properties in the vicinity
and zone in which the subject property is situated.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.

1967.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City, at
a regular meeting held on the 23d day of January , 1967,
by the following vote of the Council:
