Northwest Federal Credit Union Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2011
Leesburg, VA (May 19, 2011) – At 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011, Town of Leesburg
officials will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Northwest Federal Credit Union,
located at 525 Trimble Plaza SE in the Oaklawn development. Vice Mayor Kevin D. Wright will
officiate.
Northwest Federal Credit Union is a $2 billion financial institution ranking among the largest
credit unions in Virginia and in the top 100 credit unions in the nation. The new Leesburg
branch of Northwest Federal Credit Union will be open weeknights until 7:00 p.m. and will
feature drive-thru banking, 24-hour drive-up ATM, safe deposit boxes, night depository and a
free coin counting machine. With plans underway to sponsor and participate in several
Leesburg community events, Northwest Federal was the title sponsor for the 2011 Leesburg
Flower & Garden Festival and will be the gold sponsor for the 21st Annual Town of Leesburg
Independence Day Celebration.
To celebrate their arrival in Leesburg and Loudoun County, Northwest Federal has planned a
day of family fun from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on May 21, 2011, including free food, carnival
games, door prize drawings, giveaways and children’s activities.

Loudoun County. The opportunity to serve our members living and working in Leesburg, along
with the chance to introduce Northwest Federal to a whole new community in Northern
